Guide To Santiago AirportMost of the airport traffic takes place during the peak season. In 2005 there were more than 1,8 million passengers using the airport which is an increase of over 250.000 compared to the previous year.
The departures lounge can be found on the ground and first floors of the terminal. 18 check-in desks, from which six belong to Iberia and two to Ryanair, are provided for passengers.
Arrivals are handled on the ground floor and are divided into EU and domestic flights (Hall A) and non EU and irregular flights (Hall B). If you looking for car hire desks then all four of them are located at hall A. Several lost luggage facilities can be found in both halls.
A total of 7 shops (regular shopping facilities and duty free shopping), a cafeteria on the ground floor which serves drinks and snacks, a bank, 2 tour operators, medical service and of course several facilities for car hire are also provided by the airport.
The car park is located outside the terminal and provides approximately 1,200 parking spaces, including some for passengers with special needs.
