Guide To Santander AirportThe number of passengers between 1996 and 2005 has more than tripled and this has necessitated many improvements and extension works. Compared to other airports in Spain, the one in Santander is still very small with only 16,147 flight operations in 2005.
Santander International Airport consists of one two storey terminal. On the ground floor are four desks for the main car hire companies. The airport also has three restaurants and a chapel on the first floor.
8 check-in desks, 3 boarding gates, one multi shop selling tobacco and other goods, a cafeteria, airport information desk and much more can be found in the departures area. The arrivals hall has 2 baggage carousels, a baggage reclaim desk, ATM machine, first aid service and four car hire companies to choose from.
A car park with spaces for up to 508 cars and facilities for passengers with special needs are also available.
