Getting To Santiago AirportSantiago International Airport is located 10 km to the east of the city in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula. Both leisure travellers and business people from all around the globe use this airport to get to Santiago and the city of A Coruna.
Travellers from the UK have the choice between the airports of Heathrow and Stansted and Ryanair and Iberia airlines. The majority of flights come from cities in Spain including Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga, Seville, Alicante and Bilbao.
Buses from the airport to Santiago centre, Lujo and A Coruna run regularly. The bus stop can be found close to both taxi ranks, directly outside the arrivals hall where car rental facilities are also on offer. The fare for the taxi to Santiago is about € 15.
You should definitely think about taking advantage of the car rental desks at the airport, if you have to go to cities which are further away. A taxi to A Coruna for example will cost approximately € 80, the bus only runs once a day at 11.30 and there is no train service available.
